Kafka´s Head

The Kafka's Head sculpture in Prague is a unique and thought-provoking piece of art that pays tribute to the renowned Czech writer Franz Kafka. The sculpture is located in the center of Prague, near the Quadrio shopping center, and it features a giant head made of 42 rotating layers, each one depicting a different facial expression. The sculpture was created by the Czech artist David Cerny, and it was unveiled in 2014, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of Kafka's birth. The rotating layers of the sculpture are powered by a motor and can be controlled remotely, giving the sculpture an interactive and dynamic quality. The sculpture is a tribute to Kafka's literary legacy and his complex and often enigmatic personality, which is reflected in the different expressions depicted in the layers of the sculpture.
