Glassmaking can be traced back to about 3000 B.C. in what is now the Middle East. 
World famous, handmade Bohemian glass undergoes four basic steps: batch mixing, melting, blowing and cooling. Decorating the glass – cutting and sanding being the most frequently used techniques – is a chapter in itself.
