PRIVAT 17 DOBŘÍŠ CASTLE AND PŘÍBRAM

The present-day appearance of the rococo chateau in Dobříš dates back to 1745 – 1765 when its reconstruction was finished by Jindřich Pavel Mannsfeld. The present-day owner of the chateau is Dipl. Ing. Jerome Colloredo-Mansfeld.In chateau there is possible to see rooms ornamented in the late Baroque style, rococo style and classicist style. The Mirror Hall with its rich stucco decorations and frescos is excelling above all. A part of the tour of the chateau is also a walk through a pretentious in Baroque style arranged garden which is adorned with scuptures of the late Baroque masters or of their accurate copies.

Příbram is a famous historical mining town located 60 km south-west of Prague, in the Brdy foothills. Nowadays the mining history of the town commemorates the Museum of Mining Příbram. That is one of the biggest museums of this type in the Czech Republic.Nowadays Příbram is famous especially because of the place of pilgrimage Svatá Hora (Holy Mountain, where a Baroque complex of the monastery is located on a hill, directly above the town centre.
